South Asian Inspiration
Ever been to a South Asian wedding? If so, you probably know it involves preparing at least 3-4 outfits, each with its own set of jewelry. Not only is this expensive, but it can also be cumbersome, as I had completely separate jewelry for my South Asian outfits and my Western wardrobe. Inspired by the work of other artists online, I began to make my own clay jewelry, particularly to bring my South Asian heritage to the traditionally Western styles. My goal is to create affordable, yet vibrant statement pieces with an Indowestern flair that are elegant enough to wear to an Indian wedding or to dress up your everyday look.
Behind ‘The Radiant Moon’
The Radiant Moon is named after my Ammamma (grandma), whose name means ‘crescent moon’. At 80+ years young, she’s still following her passion of crocheting and creating embroidery wall art, and is the most creative and artistic person I know. Her dedication to her craft inspired me to follow my own journey and open this shop.
